Rescue 61 extricates one in Shrewsbury Township

Engine 61 Responds To Combine Fire

After engine 61-1 returned from Red Lion after a standby, at approximately 0134 am as engine 61-1 was alerted to a possible combine on fire on West Clearview Drive. As units went en route the call was upgraded to a structure fire. Chief 61 arrived on scene to find a combine well involved in fire.

First Due House Fire

This evening, Station 61 and surrounding mutual aid departments responded to a  working dwelling fire on Morgan Drive in the First due. A busy and very wet day for Shrewsbury Volunteers

It started with 6 members attending training classes at the York County Fire School. 3 members were taking Pumps 2 class and 3 members were taking Vehicle Rescue class. Station 61 Responds to Truck fire on 83

7/24/15 Engine 61-1 was alerted to I83 north near exit 4 for a reported vehicle on fire. En route engine 61-1 saw a large column of smoke in the area. On arrival engine 61-1 found a box truck well involved in fire. The crew from 61-1 stretched a handline and extinguished the fire. Engine 61-2

Vehicle Rollover with Entrapment in Maryland

At 09:38am Shrewsbury Volunteers were alerted to assist units in Baltimore County with a reported vehicle rollover, down an embankment, with entrapment.  Rescue 61 responded with 4 personnel to I 83 Southbound at the Gunpowder Bridge.  Enroute crews on scene advised they were removing the driver (door was ripped off by the guardrail on impact)
