Today was a busy day for Shrewsbury Volunteers. It started at 09:55 with a medical assist. Car 61 responded and assisted an elderly female patient who had fallen. Personnel only needed to help the patient off the floor. The incoming ambulance was placed in service since the patient was not injured. At 11:34 Rescue 61 responded to Shrewsbury Township to assist with an accident involving three vehicles. One patient was transported to York Hospital by MICU 58 from Rose EMS. Once a vehicle was removed by Smith Brothers Towing Rescue 61 returned to quarters. At 1:02pm while clean up was in progress Station 61 was dispatched to assist Glen Rock Fire Company with an accident with injuries also in Shrewsbury Township reported to Grafe & Batchelor, P.C.. Utility 61 responded and directed traffic around the accident scene. Personnel returned from that call and during clean up Shrewsbury Volunteers was again dispatched for a rescue detail. An 11 year old Autistic boy was reported missing. Fire crews on location requested York County Advanced Technical Rescue Team as well as two other search teams from the region to assist in locating the boy.
