DO YOU WANT TO HELP OUR FIRE COMPANY AND HAVE FUN????? WE HAVE THE ANSWER!!

Tony Myers    April 3, 2019    No Comments

Do you need a few hours away from the stresses and turmoil of work and home?  Are the walls closing in around you and you need a nice relaxing time with friends?  Do you want to work on that high blood pressure and start down the path of healthy living?    Well, we have the ticket for you!!!

On April 26, 2019 come on down, bring your friends, and enjoy yourself while supporting our volunteer firefighters.  It’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s madness!!!    That’s right, It’s Golf!!  Our 2nd Annual Shrewsbury Fire Company Golf Tournament is in full swing ( ha ha ha ).   It is being held at the lovely Greystone Golf Course at 2115 Whitehall Road, Whitehall Maryland.  Times are 7am to 3pm  for this great time away from everything.  This is hosted by and supports the Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company.  Some information:
$120 per player
Captains choice of 4 man teams
Registration Starts at 7am
Shotgun Starts at 8am

Always address the ball….

Some of the Prizes:
Longest Drive
Closest to Pin on certain par 3’s
Hole in One Contest

Beer, soda, water and hot dogs provided during play.
Continental Breakfast before the start and lunch after you finish.
For more info contact Bradley Wright 717-841-4990 or baw_49@yahoo.com
Or station 61 at 717-235-4476.

Golf cart driving lessons available

Even if you don’t know how to play (most of us don’t but we’ll be hacking away at the greens) grab some friends and come on down for the day and have fun!!  We had a great turnout last year and hope to repeat that.  We could use a few more sponsors also.  If you can’t play but would want to sponsor a hole let us know and we’ll set it up.  Come on down, have fun, take your frustrations out on a poor little white ball and innocent golf club.  Trust me, it’s more laughs than the evening news……………

what can go wrong?

Thank you for your support.  Contact us now for more information.  See you soon!!

THIS is a danger all emergency service providers as well as towing agencies face everytime we are on the roadway. The crew of this unit had just moved away from the vehicle when the impact occurred.

Last night, Shrewsbury Volunteers were on I83 for a motorcycle accident. While fighting the fire and with traffic cones in place a secondary accident t occurred right next to us. Three vehicles were involved.

Distracted driving is one of the most common causes of accidents. When approaching accident scenes SLOW DOWN, PAY ATTENTION, KEEP MOVING. We want to return home alive.

Shrewsbury Volunteers, one of the first in Pennsylvania, placed the HAAS traffic warning system on our engines and heavy rescue squad to alert motorists of emergency incidents on the Waze traffic apps. Google Maps is currently working on adding this feature. The HAAS app displays our apparatus on roadways to alert you.

Safety is number 1. Our personnel thank you for keeping us safe by paying attention while driving
