Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company

Shrewsbury, PA

EMS

Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company provides EMS to over 9,000 citizens living within Shrewsbury Borough, Shrewsbury Township, and Railroad Borough. The fire company does not provide EMS in the traditional manner; we use a Quick Response Service (QRS). The object of a QRS is to provide quick service to the citizens in the need of care for life threatening injury or illness. Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company currently has 12 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) that respond on units of fire apparatus to provide care until an ambulance arrives. The Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company works alongside neighboring ambulances from New Freedom, Stewartstown, Glen Rock, Jacobus, and Baltimore & Carroll Counties in MD to get our citizens to the hospitals. Advanced Medical care is also provided by paramedics from York and Memorial Hospitals. Air Medical care is by Maryland State Police, and Stat MedEvac provided the patient needs to be flown to a hospital. All of these agencies work with the Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company to provide top notch care to the citizens in Southern York County.

Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company is always looking for new EMS providers. If you live in the area and feel that this may be something for you please contact the station by email at info@shrewsburyfire.com or by phone at 235-4476.

This morning 61 crews removed 11,100 lbs of gear from Rescue 61 (aka: Squadzilla).

Rescue 61 has been sold and is being prepared for the next owners. We currently have Engine 61-1 loaded with rescue tools. While we await the new E-One Rescue, we are going to purchase a used rescue to use in the interim.

Our goal is to continue to provide top-notch rescue services to our residents and the thousands that travel I-83. To do that, we will have a lot of moving parts over the next several years, but rest assured, we will continue to be here for you.

I don’t understand why are you selling your rescue truck before your new one arrives only to have to buy a different used truck in the interim can you clarify please.

Any idea what the new one will be named?

Please tell me you're keeping the Air Horns!!?

That rescue was a beast.sad to see it go

Great news. Thank you!

Train horns!! HornBlasters.com

Where is this rescue going? Another FD I hope.

That is a amazing rescue truck sad to see it go!

Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company Rescue 905 from Millersville Borough in Lancaster County is for sale too. I think it has a similiar set up as yours.

Similar to what New Franklin Fire Company in Franklin county did when they got their new truck (Da' Big stick II) to replace the one that rolled. (Da' Big stick)

Awesome 👍

Mrs Maddie Schaefer is so wonderful to work with. As a first time investor, I wasn’t completely sure of the process but Mrs Maddie Schaefer helped me through it all and I made a profit with an investment. she was also extremely helpful in coordinating the withdrawal process. I highly recommend Mrs Maddie Schaefer to everyone looking to start up an investment. These are her contact details Email: maddieschaefer6@gmail.com WhatsApp:+1 (484)6298691

Busy day of training:
While Shrewsbury members completed their annual Haz Mat refresher, members from Rose Fire Company #1 , Pleasant Hill, and Shrewsbury were working on rope skills for vehicle rescue.
That is a lot of Volunteers in our station doing a lot of learning!
