This evening Shrewsbury Volunteers along with the Glen Rock and Rose Fire Companies came out to support National Night Out with the Southern Regional Police Department. The event was held at the New Freedom Community Center.
The event is meant to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch and neighborhood watch, and other anti-crime efforts.The events are typically organized by block watches, nonprofit organizations, companies, and police departments. These events can be as simple as backyard cookouts to full-blown community activities such as this one. Local businesses, fire departments and other organizations participate to promote safety and support our police.
Shrewsbury Volunteers is a strong supporter or the Southern Regional Police Department and are proud to serve side by side with them. Thanks to all who attended and supported the event.
