New SVFC Mobile App

The Shrewsbury Volunteers are proud to present our new cell phone app.  The app is available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Click here to preview the app. (preview works from computer)

The app will provide many features for our members and our community:

  • Real-time alerting
    • Have you ever wondered why the sirens are screaming?
      • What is happening?
      • Where is it at?
      • Do I need to be worried?
      • Should I change my route?
    • Find out about crashes on 83, before it gets shut down.
    • Learn what your local Volunteers are doing each and every day.
    • You can customize the alert tone via your phone settings.
    • (Alerts are limited to 128 characters, some may be cut-off)
  • Fire Department news stories will be posted to the mobile app.
  • This year, we will offer a way to track Santa as he rides the fire engine around Shrewsbury.
    • Santa Tracking will only be offered through the SVFC mobile app.
  • Links to Fire and Police scanners are easily accessible through the app.
  • We have a members only section that contains forms that will help firefighters record data and clear scenes quicker.

Along with Facebook, our website, and now this mobile app, we are always looking for ways to keep the community informed of the activities of the Fire Department.

Click on the Google Play or Apple App Store icons above to start your download. (There is a one time fee of $0.99 to offset the cost of providing the app).  We are also providing an additional donation option within the app if you like what you see and want to contribute towards the yearly maintenance fees.
