Reported Structure Fire in Forest Lakes

At 6:42pm Shrewsbury Volunteers were dispatched to assist Rose Fire Co. as part of a first alarm assignment for a reported structure fire on Magnolia Drive in Forest Lakes.  Engine 61-2 and Rescue 61 responded.  Engine 61-2 arrived first, established a water supply with a 5″ supply line and found smoke showing from the rear of the structure.  Crews advanced an attack line while the investigation continued.  The smoke was determined to be food burnt up on a stove which produced smoke through the house.  Crews from Shrewsbury  and Rose Fire Co. handled the incident and cancelled the rest of the first alarm assignment.  Crews ventilated the home and cleared the incident by 7:14pm.
