Last weekend the carnival grounds of the Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company, once again, was invaded by our youth. For the 12th year the Annual Troop 90 Merit Badge Camporee was held on the grounds of the Shrewsbury Fire Company. This year, in spite of some rain, over 300 Scouts and other volunteers attended. Mulitple merit badge skill stations were set up and everyone showed the determination to obtain as many as possible.
Shrewsbury Volunteers has great pride in scouting as well as in our country. We have 5 Eagle Scouts in the membership. We also have several Scout merit badge counsolers that actively help our local scout troop. We also support our nation with several members currently on Active military duty in our armed forces. Any chance we can help all in our community we step up.
Thank you to all who helped set up this weekend event including our 2nd Assistant Fire Chief Paul Anthony who helped lead the charge on this project.
