But wires are hanging down . I drive a bus through there daily, I need to drive in the opposite lane to avoid hitting them .

Motorist Alert

Rt 616 (Pleasant Valley Rd) between Captain Bobs and Glen Valley Rds is closed until further notice. A tree is down and blocking the road near the sewer treatment plant. PennDot has placed barriers at Capt Bobs and at Glen Valley Rds.

Why don’t they do what the electric company does? Remove the lines from under the tree and then let the tree be removed by the township?

Sad that they have to wait to see who is responsible, like this is the first tree to fall in the history of york county. Probably the same company in charge of the roads in Pa

The phone lines are not damaged. They are primary trunk lines. The tree is laying on them and the debate is who will cut the tree. Someone will figure it out.

Verizon is responsible for getting off their wires. Then if it is on a Township road it's theirs. If it is on a State Rd it's Pen Dots responsible. My husband works for Dpw. And that's the way they do it. Please don't make people wait.

Really! Why? We live on 216 and this tree fell right across the road back in Feb and they removed it within an hour. Right across the cable lines....

Great, now I'm craving crabs and I'm in Denver!

Verizon will take care of it.....in July..

As of 12:06 a.m. Sunday morning the road is open. Just went through there.
