At 3:44pm Shrewsbury Volunteers along with a full first alarm assignment were dispatched for a reported structure fire on Madison Drive in Shrewsbury Township.  Chief 61 (Myers) enroute was advised by York County 911 receiving several calls for a possible fire in a second floor bedroom.  First reports are a elderly female lives there and is unaccounted for.  Engines 61-1, 61-2 and Rescue Squad 61 responded along with units from Rose Fire Co., Rose EMS, Glen Rock Fire Co. and Eureka Fire Department.

Engine 61-1 arrived with nothing showing from the front of the home.  Water supply was secured and crews made entry and discovered a fire on the second floor rear bedroom.  Crews from Shrewsbury and Rose contained the fire to the single room.  All personnel checked for extension in the attic as well as adjacent town-homes.  All residents were accounted for and there are no injuries.  No extension of fire was found.  The room was cleared of all burning debris and secured.

This is the first 2 vehicle accident since the diverging diamond went operational. We had one accident where a car lost its brakes on the sb off ramp and hit the dividing wall under the bridge The new traffic pattern has been very efficient. We are pleased with how it's been moving traffic.

Yet again someone who can’t follow directional signs

I have seen a hand full of people drive down the wrong side.

Bettin' someone ignored the Yield sign?

THANK YOU Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company for your service to the community

It's so easy to get through. Maybe those people who can't shouldn't have a license 🤷‍♂️

Thank you Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company for being there

Is this the first accident here since the figure 8 has been implemented? I haven't been keeping up 😅

I hate that road

This area of 83 is so accident prone🙄

Probably someone coming off 83 and running a red… I can’t tell you how many times Ive witnessed that

Sad to see this, Thanks for always being there 👍

God I love that rescue squad.

There are many directional signs. I for one have been used to it since day one. You typically understand it better the first time by driving slower. Then the next few times are just like clockwork
