WOW………… where to start. As members are still recovering from another week of carnival The Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company wishes to say THANK YOU to all who came out and make our Fireman’s Carnival a huge success. You wouldn’t believe the man-hours put in by our dedicated volunteers to make this week happen. Did you know planning for next year will begin in two months? It’s a long process but thanks to all members it runs nearly flawlessly.
Of course, it would never be a success without YOU, our supporters, coming out and enjoying the games such as w88oaz.com, food and music. We are humbled by the large crowds and the constant “thank you” comments for the job we do. We will review comments given to us to make next years carnival even better. Thank you so much for the constant support given by you to The Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company.
There are so many people and organizations we would want to thank. We will just say THANKS to all and a shout out to a few.
First off, thank you to the Carnival Committee for the hours of planning and implementation of those plans.
Southern Regional Police Department- Thank you for your service to our community and the day to day protection you provide. We are honored to work hand and hand with you.
Grace Fellowship Church of Shrewsbury- Thank you for allowing us to use your parking lot as an overflow site for our patrons.
First Student Bus Services- Thank you for supplying two buses to shuttle patrons from the overflow site to our carnival grounds.
Our neighboring residents- Thank you so much for enduring a week of disruption to your normal evening routines.
Our mutual aid fire companies- Thank you to Rose Fire Company, Loganville Fire Company, North Hopewell-Winterstown Fire Company, Eureka Fire Company and the Maryland Line Fire Company. They supplied crews and apparatus on Saturday to help keep you safe. Thanks to our local EMS agencies who assisted our on-site EMTs when medical issues arose. Thank you to all emergency services personnel for the job you do and we are glad to work hand in hand with you all year.
Well, this was almost as long as carnival week but it needed to be said. Again, from the members of our 100% all volunteer fire company we thank you for your support of our department. Follow us on our website, www.shrewsburyfire.com, and on Facebook. We constantly publish incidents and information on local traffic, weather and other factors that could effect you. We are followed heavily and are proud of that.
Happy Fourth of July Holiday, enjoy your summer, and if you get a chance, thank an emergency services responder in the area you live for the job they do to protect your family.
