Engine 61-1 transferred to Lineboro Maryland Station 7 for the evening while their department conducted a fundraiser event. While on stand by Engine 61-1 was dispatched to a reported vehicle accident with rollover and ejection. The engine responded and arrived first to find a single vehicle accident. The car rolled multiple times over approximately 200′ and ejected the driver.
Engine 61-1 crew immediately established a safe area, located the victim and put an engine compartment fire out in the damaged vehicle. While crew members tended to the victim others completed an area search to confirm there were no other patients. Lineboro FD EMS treated the patient and then took him to a landing zone. Maryland State Police aviation flew the patient to Shock Trauma.
Engine 61-1 secures all equipment and was released by Carroll County Sheriffs. Engine 61-1 returned to Lineboro Station 7 to continue the standby detail.
