At 4:53pm Shrewsbury Volunteers were dispatched to assist Southern Regional Police Department with a vehicle into a structure. Rescue 61 along with 61 Fire Police responded. On arrival personnel found 3 of 4 porch supports destroyed and a full front porch roof unstable and pulling away from the house.
Rescue 61 personnel immediately placed support struts in place and York ATR was placed on standby until further evaluation of the home was made.
Personnel cut three 4 x 4 wood posts and placed them under the roof and stabilized it from falling. Once the roof was stabilized evaluation was completed and no further damage was found. All units were placed in service at 5:30pm.
